From the Executive Director
    Welcome to the website for Carver Community Organization.   Throughout our first half-century, we have used many methods of staying connected to the community.   Today, and in the late 1990s, we already use a traditional newsletter to reach out.   Adding an electronic newsletter in the form of a Web site simply gives us another effective way of reaching our audience and keeping them informed about our activities.

    Carver has always been concerned that our children have the foundation of support and encouragement they need to succeed in a competitive world.   Therefore, most of our programs in one way or another focus on their education.   In our pre-school childcare program, we emphasize language development and basic skills.   The after-school care provided for children in grades K-5 is based on both academic and recreational activities.   We also offer several after-school programs for middle and high school students that support education in fun and active ways.   You can find more information about these programs elsewhere on this site.

    Carver has survived for more than 50 years because people care - care enough to work hard on our behalf, to continue supporting our goals, and to let us know what they think.   We encourage you to send us your thoughts on how we're doing.   You can e-mail or call or drop us a note through the mail.   We look forward to hearing from you and we hope you'll refer often to this site for current information about what's happening at Carver.
