Empty Pack Coalition

Carver Community serves as the lead coordinating agency for the Indiana Tobacco Prevention & Cessation (ITPC) minority efforts. ITPC exists to prevent and reduce the use of all tobacco products in Indiana and to protect citizens from exposure to tobacco smoke. Thus, the Evansville Minority Tobacco Prevention & Cessation (Empty Pack) Coalition was formed. It is the mission of the coalition to have an impact upon the use of tobacco products by implementing a plan to prevent youth and adults from using tobacco products and assisting in the reduction of environmental smoke.

Carver and the Empty Pack Coalition seek to reach our mission by developing partnerships to address tobacco usage in the minority community of Evansville and its catchments area by offering assistance with prevention programs, establishing cessation sites, and providing education on environmental tobacco smoke and related issues.

Empty Pack seeks to raise awareness on smoking related diseases that disproportionately affect minorities, while also assisting our community partners in this fight against the legal but deadly drug called tobacco.
